Science vs. Religion

Do you ever feel like we constantly come back to the basics with questions like, "What came first, the chicken or the egg?" It's the same with Earths creation, but I don't think it can be separated into parts. It is't whether it is solely a scientific matter or a religious matter; they are one and the same. Man simply has to look for the answers with an unbiased point of view. When one looks closely, it can be proven that scientific research verifies religions doctrines and visa versa.

I found this diagram from Watch Jerusalem. If you have time give their sight a view.

Sorry it isn't super clear. I couldn't snip the image from the website, it was too big. But if you follow the link you'll find it toward the bottom.

So why does it seem that the Bible doesn't fully cover the whole creation, well, it does. As proven in this graph. Why don't we know more? Perhaps man is an imperfect recorder of events as it was told them. Perhaps parts were edited out during translation of the Bible. And maybe these things are not the main focus, but rather other spiritual things.

If you think about it, don't we have the ability to know all we desire through the Holy Ghost? He can manifest the truth of all things, if we ask, even the possibility of the land bridge depicted in this image below.

I have faith that God's plan is perfect. The creation of the Earth was wondrous and done in such a way to benefit man. After all, the sole purpose of the Earth is to further God's plan which is, "To bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man" (Moses 1:39). The time and detail put into the creation of Earth is humbling. It is another testimony to me of God's power and glory, and of His love for His children.

This last image, from an article titled Observation vs. Belief, shows another point of view of the  creation. Look at the extremely short amount of time man has been on the earth. Just think of all the time spent creating and perfecting the Earth for our use and enjoyment. It truly is marvelous.
